About the EyeSlobber Blog

“Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul.” ―Dorothy Day

EyeSlobber is a food photography blog about my everyday encounters with real food, and the stories and memories that such food evokes.

Both food and photography have been passions of mine since I was a child, and both continue to play a treasured daily role in my personal and professional lives.  I am fortunate enough to live in New York City, a photographer and food lover’s paradise.  Here, every blink of the eye brings a scene worthy of capture, and ― paradoxically ― nearly every ingredient I need to cook meals at home can be ― and in my case is ― sourced from local farmers’ markets.

My hope is that EyeSlobber will inspire you to visit your own farmers’ market, step into your own kitchen, and let your imagination ― and senses ― run wild.  But if your circumstances won’t allow you to create your own real food experiences just now, feel free to simply live vicariously through my photographs.  I hope they feed your soul.
